About David
I am an editor, publisher, grammarian and teacher. I have been teaching English for a number of years both to non-native learners and native speakers from the ages of 10 to 55. I guess I have taught up to 200 students overall in my time. I teach language skills to non-native speakers of English and to speakers of English as an alternative language and I also teach English literature at GCSE, A level and degree level.

My approach to teaching is to find out what each student is good at and what they need help with. I then build lessons that focus on developing weaknesses into strengths.
I give lessons to non-native learners of English and to native speakers seeking to improve their literacy and their ability in writing texts and expressing themselves effectively.
I also teach English literature at all levels and the related essay-writing skills.
