I am a qualified and highly experienced English teacher and examiner, with over twenty years’ experience supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes. I take a warm, supportive approach, taking the time to understand each learner’s needs and provide clear, structured guidance on how to improve. My teaching develops precise exam technique, strengthens analytical thinking, and builds the confidence needed to perform effectively under exam conditions.

My teaching is supportive, structured and highly personalised. I break complex ideas into clear, manageable steps, use model examples, and show students exactly how to improve in real time. Each lesson is tailored to the individual, building confidence, clarity and skills step by step.
I offer both 1:1 and small group sessions, allowing students to benefit from focused support or a more collaborative, cost-effective approach.
I am a UK-qualified teacher and examiner with over 20 years’ experience in both UK and international schools. I specialise in English Language & Literature, including IB DP, GCSE and A-Level, 11+ and 13+. I have led English and Drama departments, taught Theory of Knowledge, and supported students in securing places at top universities.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes and are best suited to students aged 11–18 who want to build confidence, strengthen essay writing, and improve their grades. I also work with EAL learners and home-educated students who benefit from regular, clear, professional support.
