About Fiona

I have 10 years recent experience of tutoring and support work in a large secondary school, and have also tutored privately. I have an English BA(Hons), MA (Education) and a PG Cert in Bilingualism in Education. My students have often exceeded their GCSE target grades.

About the lesson

I work primarily with GCSE students and take a skills-based approach, chunking material when necessary until students have consolidated the key requirements of the syllabus. I aim to build a positive working relationship and to build students' confidence by highlighting what they are doing well and the progress they are making.
