My Teaching Approach and Methodology

Hello! I’m Kristel, a friendly, patient, and TESOL-certified ESL teacher with a bachelor’s degree and have experience teaching English as a Second Language. I’m passionate about helping students improve their English skills in a fun, comfortable, and encouraging learning environment.

My Teaching Methods and Techniques

My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and engaging. I use pictures, flashcards, real-life examples, simple questions, storytelling, games, and role-playing activities to make learning English enjoyable and effective. I encourage my students to speak as much as possible while providing gentle corrections and helpful feedback to improve their grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency.

A Typical Lesson Plan

Each lesson begins with a warm greeting and a short conversation to help students feel comfortable. Next, we review previous lessons and introduce new vocabulary or expressions using pictures and examples. We then practice speaking through guided questions, sentence construction, role-playing, and interactive activities. Finally, we review what we have learned and celebrate the student's progress.

I am patient, approachable, responsible, and enthusiastic about teaching. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching pace and activities according to each learner’s needs and abilities. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and expressing themselves in English.
