Experienced film and television professional with seven Emmys and higher ed teaching.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Nella Citino. I had the satisfaction of working alongside Nella for some time and witnessed first-hand her commitment to her students and her craft.

She is a person I hold in the highest esteem. More than anything, though, Nella is an honest and caring person who will often put the needs of others over her own and was used as an example for those teaching at the school.

Nella’s work as the Program Chair for the Video Production and Independent Film helped elevate the programs beyond anything I could have imagined. She was constantly searching for and discovering new ways to engage the classroom and bring about the best from her students.

By integrating the most current technology trends into her curriculum development, she was able to cultivate students into professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to begin their careers. But it was her commitment to their well-being that truly left a mark on the students. She not only showed them what they needed to know technically, but also helped develop their instincts and, in the world of independent film, how to find and secure sources of financing. - David Healy

I'm writing this as a fan and fervent supporter of Nella Citino. As an educator under Nella’s leadership for the last few years, I can firmly attest to Nella’s vast knowledge of filmmaking and strong leadership skills.

Nella can plan, create, and execute tactical plans in both physical production and in higher learning. She has her finger on the pulse of technological trends and is readily poised to pivot as technology evolves. Nella is loved by those under her leadership and creates content that is as brave as it is compelling. Her artistry lends itself to a global reach.

In addition to her professional qualifications, Nella is not afraid to take risks on behalf of her students and instructors. She often suggests new directions to explore.
