About Brian
Brian Choong
As professional flutist, Brian performed both locally and internationally. He studied the flute with Cathy Nicholson in Portsmouth University, UK. He later specialised in piccolo studied under Sonia Croucher. He attended masterclasses by renowned Sharon Williams, Yew-Kia Koh, and others. Brian was invited as piccolo soloist in 2014 and done soundtrack recording for film production. His orchestral experience includes Disney Concerts; Astro; American Festival Orchestra; Konsert 5-Divo; Selangor Symphony Orchestra; Taiwan Evergreen Symphony Orchestra Summer Camp; Philharmonic Winds of Malaysia; Yin-Qi Symphony Orchestra & Choir; and others. He is currently a performer and flute teacher for private and college students. Brian performs on a Muramatsu 9K gold flute.

Lesson will be structured into different aspect depending on individual level and ultimate goals. For example of lesson outcome such as be able to improve on technical scales and studies; be able to get inspiration on practice methods; be able to improve on the technical demanding music passage; and others. And of course, real concert performance experience will also be shared so that student will get the actual knowledge of being an orchestra player.
