About Nigel
I have over 20 years experience teaching up to A' Level standard and want to carry on helping students as I embark on semi-retirement. I still have lots to give and it would be a shame not to use the skills I have to help others.
I have over 10 years experience as an examiner so I am more than aware of how to develop exam technique with students. Sometimes a bit of coaching with the exam technique is all some students need to take them from being knowledgeable in Geography to being successful in the subject.

A basic structure to my approach is:
to establish with the student what topics they want to focus on.
Walkthrough the subject content to allow it to be understood with questions as necessary.
A' Level students may need to think about how this applies to a wider geographical context.
Practice past questions from the exam board the student is following at school.
Self-assessment of answers to confirm progress.
Agree on the topic for the next session.
I am an examiner for the AQA board so I know how you will be successful. The skills I have for AQA are easily transferrable to other exam boards.
Sessions are typically 60 minutes and can help students studying Geography at Key Stage Three, GCSE or A' Level.
