About Julian
"After 13 years of experience in the music industry, I often recall the early days spent struggling with basic chord transitions. My BMus Vocal Studies from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama provided a rigorous academic framework that informs my approach to guitar instruction.
Whether we are focusing on reading sheet music or mastering the nuances of reading tabs, I keep the process grounded and approachable. I have helped 246 students navigate grade exam prep while maintaining a love for the instrument. Personally, I find the greatest satisfaction in watching a player finally conquer a difficult fingerpicking pattern during our time together."

"Confidence grows when you can hear your own progress through clear, melodic playing. Honestly, I still spend hours practising my own technique to ensure I stay sharp for our sessions. I draw upon my 13 years of experience to help you develop the muscle memory needed for smooth transitions and accurate fretwork. My goal is to provide a calm space where you can ask questions without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.
I provide custom backing tracks so students can practise soloing at home to build their improvisational skills. If you are interested in exploring the guitar, feel free to reach out to discuss your current playing level."
