About Tom
My name is Tom, and I have been playing guitar and singing for over 10 years now. I've played in venues across Northern Ireland, both solo and with other musicians.
I understand how intimidating music can be, especially when it comes to theory and music reading. I am fully prepared to help you work towards a graded examination (up to Grade 4), but I want to emphasize that it is NOT a requirement! Anyone just looking to get started or better your playing is more than welcome.
My goal is to distill all that information on theory into practical improvements so you can improve faster and feel accomplished.

About the lesson

- I know theory and music reading can be intimidating, so it is my goal to demystify it for you and get you playing confidently. I will be drawing from my 10+ years of experience to focus on, what I believe to be, the most practically beneficial information that will serve you well in your playing.
- A lesson is between 30 to 60 minutes. I am happy to discuss this further with you to determine what is most beneficial to your schedule or what you feel best suits your way of learning.
- I have taught both group and one-on-one classes, I have a Distinction in Grade 8 Music Theatre and I have played guitar in many venues across Northern Ireland. Whether your goal is to study towards a Graded exam or to just get yourself to a place where you feel confident playing open mic - I'll be happy to help you.
- While any level of ability is welcome, my lessons will be most beneficial to beginners through Grade 4 (approximately).
