About Derrick
So what makes me different from other tutors? Well, I've consistently been an all-A student (4.3 GPA as of now) throughout my entire career at school. I also am versatile and do other things such as playing sports like basketball and football to drawing and creating art. I try to focus on being relatable to others rather than trying to force them to understand something they may not know. I'm able to listen to needs, requirements, and demands to be able to not only help you/(or your child) become a better student momentarily but to instill academic core value lessons that could help them all the way through their career at school.

I’m a 10th grade student (4.33 GPA freshman year) with a background in AP World History and AP Human Geography during my high school years, and I love helping other students understand history in a way that actually makes sense. My lessons are interactive and focused on connecting big historical ideas to real life, so students don’t just memorize things; they really understand concepts and traits that will help them further along the way. I’ve studied advanced social studies through middle and high school in Georgia, so I know what teachers expect and how to make learning easier and more enjoyable. My goal is to help students build confidence, improve their grades, and even start to enjoy history as much as I do.
