About Helen
I've been sewing for over a decade, household furnishings, clothing and toys. I have my own business making custom clothing and repairs and alterations. I sew as often as I can and lots of my skills are self-taught or learnt from my Grandmother. I'm patient, friendly and have a good sense of humour... so just like your favourite Aunt coming around.

It all begins with the kettle going on. I like to get to know my students, what makes them excited about sewing, who they are as people and how they like best to learn. Whether we're at my house or yours or you'd like to attend a workshop, we go at your pace and have a little laughter along the way.

I have had some lessons on patch work and quiting with this lovely lady Helen. She made everything very easy to understand and also very patient and knowledgeable.I am booked in for a one to one on how to use all the different feet for my sewing machine and how to use rhem. which i am really looking forward to doing X
Helen is endlessly patient with beginners & experienced learners alike. She's calm and explains things really well. Lessons are all prepped so the time is spent on skills and practise rather than prep, unless it's part of the skill she's teaching.
