About Tico
2014-2017 Taiyuan University of Technology, China. English teacher for English undergraduate students teaching a variety of subjects from IELTS speaking and writing, Scientific and Technology Reading, Listening skills, Technical Writing and Thesis Writing.
2015-2017 Global IELTS, Taiyuan, China. Provided support and tutoring for students preparing for their IELTS examination with a view to studying abroad. My main focus was mock examination preparation and enhancing students oral cohesion, grammar and vocabulary whilst also focusing on fluency and intonation through looking at IELTS speaking test strategies.

I am a returning English teacher from Taiyuan, CHINA, where I taught English at Taiyuan University of Technology. I have a bachelor's degree in Public Administration from Sheffield Hallam University and a 140 hour TEFL certification which I part studied in Costa Rica for hands on teacher trading. My main subject areas were, IELTS speaking and Writing, Scientific and Technology Reading and Thesis writing. I supported students with enhancing their spoken and written cohesion, grammar and vocabulary whilst also helping them to prepare for their IELTS or TOEFL exams.
Another aspect of my role was to proof read papers and articles written by the universities professors before being submitted for review by international journals.
During my stay in Taiyuan I also undertook a part-time role at the world famous Global IELTS training institution, primarily focusing on preparing students for their IELTS spoken English examination.
The methodology I use for personal tutoring is dependent on the needs of each student which can be discussed in our initial class. Though I do like to help students to empower themselves by picking up certain strategies which they can use in their everyday lives and specifically for their IELTS or TOEFL exam.
