I use a very individualised approach with my students to ensure that their learning is targeted and specific. In addition, I will encourage students in their areas of gifting and challenge them to be the best they can be. Students will have the opportunity to practice and develop skills in a variety of different ways, and I try to ensure resources are as engaging and stretching as possible.
I lived and worked in Australia and Cambodia both as an EFL teacher and in an international school teaching English and Drama. More recently, I have worked in secondary schools in the UK and have been a private tutor for five years. In addition, I am a published novelist, short story writer and screenwriter. I have taught creative writing workshops to adults and children, and have experience working as an English Language and Literature examiner.
If I have to travel more than 25 miles (there and back) to reach a student's home, then I would add an additional £5 to the hourly rate.
