About Wendy

I’ve taught Chinese to over 40 students around the world, including university professors, investment management professionals, and government officials. This global experience has given me a deep understanding of how to tailor language instruction to diverse learning styles, goals, and cultural backgrounds. Now, I’m excited to bring that same personalized, professional approach to teaching English. My lessons are open to all—students, professionals, and lifelong learners—and are designed to build confidence, fluency, and real-world communication skills. Whether you're preparing for a job interview, improving your writing, or simply looking to speak more naturally, I’ll help you reach your goals with clarity and support. What sets me apart is my background in corporate training and risk management, which allows me to integrate practical business communication into each lesson. I focus on tone, clarity, and cultural nuance—essential for success in both personal and professional settings. My teaching style is friendly, structured, and adaptable. I create a welcoming space where learners feel encouraged to ask questions, make progress, and enjoy the journey of language learning.

Teaching Methodology and Techniques My approach combines structured learning with real-world application. I use a communicative method focused on speaking, listening, and writing skills tailored to professional contexts. Lessons incorporate role-play, case studies, and industry-specific vocabulary to help learners gain confidence in business settings. I also integrate cultural fluency and soft skills training to support effective communication across global teams. Typical Lesson Plan Each lesson begins with a warm-up discussion to activate prior knowledge and set the tone. We then move into a targeted skill-building activity—such as email writing, presentation practice, or negotiation language—followed by feedback and refinement. I end each session with a recap and a short assignment to reinforce learning. What Sets Me Apart As a senior professional with over 10 years of working experience, I understand the communication challenges professionals face in high-stakes environments. My lessons are practical, engaging, and tailored to individual goals. I bring a multicultural perspective and real-world experience to every session, helping learners not just improve their English, but thrive in professional settings. Who the Lessons Are For These online Business English lessons are ideal for professionals, graduate students, and job seekers aiming to improve their communication in corporate environments. Whether you're preparing for interviews, client meetings, or internal presentations, I’ll help you build the confidence and clarity you need.
