My teaching methodology and techniques
Before any session, I review your brief, marking criteria, and existing work so we focus on exactly what matters. I work three ways depending on your need: working through problems alongside you and explaining the reasoning behind each step, giving detailed feedback on lab reports or assignments you've already drafted, or running regular sessions to prepare you for exams. I always show the working and the "why" behind a formula or concept, not just the final answer, so the understanding sticks.
A typical lesson plan
Sessions run one hour as standard. We open by identifying that day's priority, spend the bulk of the time on focused, hands-on problem-solving or writing, and close with a clear summary of what we covered and what to practice next. I'm flexible on length for shorter check-ins or longer exam-prep pushes.
