About Amy
I am a highly experienced tutor who specialises in Primary Level Maths, Special Needs and Art.
How children learn is just as important as what they learn and I have had the pleasure of playing a part in showing children a way to reach their potential in Maths, SEN and Art over the last 3 years.
I have successfully helped children who are academically behind, those who have Global Developmental Delay and also those who struggling to learn due to ADHD find the most best way for them to learn and in achieving this, they have reached new academic milestones in my time working with them.
It is of huge importance to instil a can do attitude in students, and to break down the concepts of these subjects into manageable chunks for them to learn and most importantly access.
I am also an artist and believe this has enabled me to think outside the box and find the best way to present information to children, using a whole range of tactile and kinaesthetic approaches to enable them to learn in the best way possible.
I have worked in many schools and have valued the experience I have gained from doing this, in seeing how different schools implement differing ideas and approaches to educating and organisation.
I would be described as one who is very people orientated, friendly and willing to go the extra mile. I am a highly motivated and observant person and am always willing to learn and develop new skills to and to incorporate these into the way I teach when tutoring. I also consider myself to be patient, approachable and organised.
