About Ahab
I am an honors graduate in mechanical engineering with teaching qualifications and have four years of classroom experience teaching mathematics in various state secondary schools. I tutor pupils for mathematics GCSE examinations with AQA and Edexcel examination boards. I also provide support for students struggling with maths at KS3 and KS4 as well as those students that can be challenged further than they might be in class.
I have also previously worked as a casual support worker in a youth center and as a teaching assistant attached to a maths department.
My approach to lessons is informed both by what I have learned as a classroom teacher but also by the individual needs of each student. This approach will keep current teaching practice in mind whilst ideally relying on a long term plan.
