About Bethan
My name is Beth, I am a secondary school teacher and have 7 Years experience in teaching Maths. I am KS3 lead at an outstanding school in Hertfordshire and have recently started also teaching Applied Maths A-level and the Core Maths qualification.
I have been a GCSE examiner for Edexcel and AQA for two years. My degree was studied at the University of Brighton in Secondary Mathematics with QTS.
I have experience tutoring KS2 up until KS4 online and face to face. I have fantastic lessons planned for A-Level that I would love to share with tutees in Statistics and Mechanics.

My lessons are very creative, I like to use lots of manipulatives and visuals. I have a ‘I do, we do, you do’ approach to teaching.
For example, if we were to be exploring equations of straight lines we would look first at the equation and how the gradient and y-intercept affect the behaviour of the line on Desmos before studying for some exam style questions.
I am a big fan of mini whiteboards. This way I can check your understanding at all times. I also believe in students talking me through their thoughts and exploring their own methods to get to solutions.
