About Adam
I’m a patient, approachable and encouraging maths tutor with experience supporting and teaching secondary-school pupils, including Year 10 and Year 11 students. I currently work in an Alternative Provision setting, where I help students who may need extra structure, confidence or a different way of learning. I aim to make maths feel less intimidating by explaining topics clearly, working at the student’s pace and creating a positive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is to help every student make steady progress and become more confident and independent in maths.

My lessons are structured, supportive and adapted to each student’s current level. I currently work in an Alternative Provision secondary-school setting and have experience teaching and supporting pupils, including Year 10 and Year 11 students. I focus on breaking difficult maths topics into clear, manageable steps using worked examples, guided practice and targeted questions. I help students build confidence, strengthen core skills, improve problem-solving and prepare for SATs and GCSE Maths. Lessons are interactive, patient and focused on genuine understanding rather than simply memorising methods.
