A huge variety of methods and ways around solving problems until we find one that you like. You lead the lessons with the focus on what you want to get from it. Lots of fun, and lots of cake too. Anybody of any level is welcome.
I will provide lessons for primary school age and secondary. I like the lessons to be enjoyable but productive. I prefer if the student can come to me with work to go through from school so that I work in line with the curriculum. I can also offer prep for exams through past papers etc...
I see each complex section in science and mathematics as a composition of relatively simple questions whose solutions often involve the application of rudimentary mathematical and scientific axioms. As such, I seek to impress upon my students the importance of decomposing problems by rewriting the questions posed in a generally longer but more comprehensible form.
I base my teaching depending on each student's learning needs so I do not have a fixed teaching methodology. However, whichever way, in the end, I apply more for demonstration, examples, tests, exam among others. Most importantly, I make sure I cement a very good relationship with my students and then take it from there thereby ensuring they get the best out of the tutoring relationship we have.
I base my lectures on examples...I always try to cover all areas on each topic...I provide a better understanding on how to approach maths questions...provide easier ways of attacking maths questions...Very comprehensive and effective means of teaching...As I was taught also...
I believe students need to be enjoying studying to be productive. I try to connect with students on a personal level by appearing more like a friend than an authority figure. Students will still understand the need to learn but my lessons/revision sessions will be much more informal than a lesson at school.
I am a qualified teacher and have an MA in Leadership. I focus on the individual I am working with and ensure any gaps in mathematical knowledge are identified. Starters will include questions involving key calculator and non calculator skills.
I'm an undergraduate at the University of Leeds studying Physics and Philosophy. Maths is an essential tool to my course and I have always treated it as another language that I've had to master. Depending on the level o maths, lessons will be structured differently but are always tailored to whatever the pupil needs and/or is struggling with in particular.

I tutor with subject specific resources tailored to each students queries/needs. I offer working through questions/past papers to solidify subject knowledge and to help students come up with methods to make future problem solving easier! Any problems students have I will look into prior to lessons to find/create appropriate resources and information.
My philosophy stems from teaching each student uniquely so that they understand each topic in their own way. As well as empower them to have confidence in their own ability.
I have experience of teaching university students during my degree and believe I have a friendly and effective approach to learning. I prefer a more relaxed style because I feel the most successful learning occurs when students are engaged and feel comfortable asking questions. However, I am very flexible and can also accommodate for students that would like a more formal, classroom-style approach.
I like to explain the topic first give a few examples and then give students a chance and then explain what they did right and where they need to improve. I also like to show the specification so students know what exactly what they will be tested on in their exam.

Being repetitive and going over things is my way of teaching.

I like to initially summarise the topic to ensure that all of the required material is covered. Linking topics is important for me as a thorough understanding of how they link together provides a stronger base of understanding and makes it easier to remember and apply to examples. I prefer to teach particularly difficult methods and derivations with examples.
I prefer to connect with student on their level so that they are comfortable and put their trust in me to guide them into becoming their best selves. I will do a lot of pre planned lessons once I evaluate their position and keep efficient progress reports.
