About Ciara
Hi, there! My name's Ciara and I'm a first year Neuroscience student. I've been tutoring English, Maths and Science for about a year and a half now so I have lots of experience with a wide variety of students and their unique needs, including SEN students. I began tutoring because I've always had a passion for learning and I love sharing my enthusiasm for these subjects with the students who need that little extra motivation to get involved and engaged!

I have 435 hours of tutoring experience, 350 of which have been dedicated to Maths and Science. I achieved Grade 9 in Edexcel GCSE Mathematics and continued my study into AS Level. I also achieved Grade 9 in AQA GCSE Biology and Physics; Grade 9 in GCSE Chemistry, and two As in A Level Biology and Chemistry. I provide interactive online lessons, tailored to each student's level, needs and goals. Please find below information about a typical session with me. These are fully adjustable to best suit each student:
KS1/KS2 (Maths):
- Each session is typically 30 minutes long (£10-£15)
- Features lots of interactive Maths games and puzzles to keep the student engaged
- Often focuses on solidifying fundamental concepts to build a strong foundation for further study
- SATs-style practice questions for Year 6 students
- Optional homework assignments for extra practice
KS3/GCSE (Maths and Science):
- Each session is typically 1 hour long (£18-£20)
- Includes identifying gaps in knowledge to secure extra marks to achieve top grades
- Often focuses on preparing students for exams by improving exam technique using board-specific exam-style questions and mark schemes
- Optional homework assignments for extra practice
A Level (Biology and Chemistry only):
- Each session is typically between 1 to 2 hours long (£25-£45)
- Includes identifying gaps in knowledge to secure extra marks to achieve top grades
- Focuses on preparing students for exams by improving exam technique using board-specific exam-style questions
- Detailed feedback for past paper attempts
- Optional homework assignments for extra practice
