About Yifan
I am a PhD graduate in Philosophy with over five years of experience in online teaching and academic mentoring. I specialise in ethics, critical thinking, and essay writing, working with students preparing for IB, A-Level, and university applications.
My students have achieved strong outcomes, including recognition in the John Locke Essay Competition, awards in national philosophy competitions, and successful admission to universities such as UCL. I focus on developing clear argumentation, independent thinking, and high-level writing skills.

I offer tailored lessons in Philosophy for IB and A-Level students, with a focus on ethics, critical thinking, and essay writing. I also provide support for academic competitions such as the John Locke Essay Competition and International Philosophy Olympiad (IPO).
In addition, I help students with university preparation, including personal statements, writing samples, and essay development. I can design customised courses on topics such as bioethics and war ethics, depending on students’ interests and goals.
