About Yeo
I am a piano and music theory tutor with 2 years of teaching experience, and I hold ABRSM Grade 8 (Merit) in piano. I have worked with students of different ages and levels.
I started teaching because I enjoy helping others understand music in a way that feels clear and less stressful. From my own learning experience, I know how confusing things can get when concepts are not explained well, so I try to teach in a more simplified way. I find it rewarding to see students improve step by step and become more comfortable with their playing and understanding.

I aim to make both piano and music theory feel clear, manageable, and enjoyable rather than overwhelming.
For piano, I work on technique, rhythm, coordination, and musical expression so students can play pieces with control and confidence. For theory, I simplify concepts step by step and train students using exam-style questions so they are well prepared and actually understand how everything connects.
Each lesson is usually 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on focus and level. Shorter sessions can be arranged for younger students, while longer sessions are available for exam preparation if needed.
I have 2 years of teaching experience in piano and music theory, and I achieved ABRSM Grade 8 (Merit). Over this time, I’ve worked with students of different ages and helped them build confidence in both practical playing and theory, including exam preparation.
My lessons are suitable for students of different levels, whether they are just starting out, working through graded exams, or looking to improve their theory and playing skills in a more structured way.
