About Aya
I have recently graduated from school and I am currently at Grade 7 Classical Piano level. I have a passion for Classical and Jazz piano as well as songwriting and have started learning at the age of 13. Since then, I have passed up to Grade 5 Piano and Music Theory within a year of starting and I am currently taking on a methodical and holistic approach to practising piano. I have learnt a lot since then but most importantly I have understood how important building good foundations is to creating a good piano player. Passing on those tips to beginners is something I know will make the next steps to Piano more enjoyable and easier to understand.

My teaching method involves observing student’s techniques and structuring the lesson to fit the last lesson’s objectives. I assign a multitude of tasks that train the ear, the fingering and theory. The student is free to request help in specific songs and I can offer 1 hour lessons but this is flexible to the student’s desires. I have taught family members and younger students at school and I incorporate a mixture of teaching styles that I have assimilated from the teaching that I have received.
