I'm a qualified primary teacher with a B.Ed from Trinity College Dublin, and currently completed an MSc in Psychology at the University of Gloucestershire. I provide lessons in all aspects of literacy and numeracy at a primary level, either one to one or in a group setting. A combination of active learning, games, practical tasks and written work are all incorporated to cover all aspects of the curriculum.
I have taught full-time in mainstream classrooms for four academic years, working with children of all abilities, aged 6 to 12. I have experience of working with such difficulties as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, ADHD and autism. I have also worked as a one-to-one tutor with autistic children, and as a Special Needs Assistant in a mainstream infant classroom. I have also taught the violin and the guitar to primary school children, and have given oral Irish lessons to adults.
