About Ally
I have provided tutoring for over a year now. I had 3 students last year with weekly hour/hour and a half sessions with each. One of my clients achieved 100% in her national 4 math test and I helped my other two students to achieve good passes at their national 5 math exams. I focus on the student understanding the technique and gaining confidence in answering exam style questions. I try to make the lessons fun and enjoyable, while strengthen mental math capabilities.

I provide tutoring to national 5 math and biology students.
At the start of my lesson I start by breaking down the subject into easy understandable pieces. I then once the student has a grasp of the concept, we work through some examples for the next half an hour. For the last part of the lesson I will show the student an exam question as an example and highlight how to recognise which technique to use to tackle the question. I finish off the lesson with some simple mental math exercises to strengthen and refine areas which I feel may need more attention.
I try to get to know my students and feel that I am there to help. I tailor my methods to each student and I try and find the best methods to help them learn. I also try to make myself approachable to make sure that the student can tell me where they need help and I can adjust the lessons accordingly.
