I like to work with a whiteboard and different coloured pens so that work can be easily rubbed out and the different colours can be used to help the student understand different parts. I also like to work through test papers and real questions so the student knows what to expect when it comes to exams.
I base my classes on the interests and motivations of my pupils - I pay attention to how they best learn (because everyone has different strategies for learning) and I adapt my teaching practice accordingly to give the best and most useful class I can.
I approach each topic with patience and care and find the best way to help the student learn and understand the material. When teaching languages I find it best to do so through games and activities, rather than through grammar exercises and dictionaries.
My teaching method is mainly based on working on homework and approaching each occurring problem directly. Once I see that a problem is deeper rooted I prepare more exercises on it to work out the troublesome topic. I am a very open minded and direct person, therefore I react to the needs of each individual student and adapt and improve my methods constantly.
I have various amounts of teaching methods, but I think that my methods mainly depend on how the student learns quickest but most effective. My methods are very adaptive towards the student that I'm teaching and will try to make the lesson as fun and as educational as possible for the student.
My focus is on getting you up and running with conversational french so you can have the confidence to speak out and start learning by interacting with french native speakers.
My teaching method is flexible to the student - I love interactive learning and I ensure all of the content I teach is relatable and enjoyable. As an teacher and educator, I work within a structured environment to ensure we know where we are on the learning pathway and where we are in relation to our target.
I am a friendly and engaging teacher with 8 months teaching experience at primary and secondary level. Student satisfaction and grade improvement is my top most priority! I make sure to encourage questions and do lots of practice especially in mathematics.
The most important thing about any lesson is for the student to feel that they have learned something new or honed one of their existing skills. I therefore begin by asking the student to tell me something that they find difficult or wish to work on. Then I will find specific examples, based on the identified area, and we can work through problems and questions together.
I am patient and eager to teach people more, allowing them to have a full understanding of the subject or even just more confidence in it. Lessons will be student based and formed around the needs of the student. Personally, I do not believe there can be an approach that fits absolutely every student.
My lesson usually consists of a fun warm up, and then get into drama exercises that would help you to express creatively. For Primary students, storytelling and writing will be something that we could do together. For Secondary students, I will treat you like a professional actor and work on selected scenes and monologues with you. I can tailor made the lesson to suit you.
I am a second year undergraduate studying a Combined Honours degree in Business and Sports Studies at the University of Stirling. I did 4 A Levels in Business, Sports Studies, ICT and General Studies, obtaining grades A*A*AA and I am confident in teaching these subjects up to this level.
I´m a Colombian woman studying a masters degree in Child Development in the University of Stirling. I would like to do lessons to any person young or adult willing to know Spanish language, from basics to an advanced level. My lessons will be creative to keep it interesting. As a teacher I am very patient and didactic. I will love to teach my beautiful native language.
I prefer teaching languages based on working through learning vocabulary first. Trying to speak as much German as possible during the lessons would speed up the skill level. Reading comprehension through reading together in lessons would also be a great method of teaching I would prefer to use.
I wish to teach students, such that they first think for themselves and truly try to understand what they need to learn. I also believe in positive encouragement and supporting them to boost confidence. If someone would need tutoring for a specific topic I would first go over everything they know already and build up on the level they require.
I use a variety of methods and tailor my lessons to the individual learner. I use reading story books to improve comprehension, videos and audio tools for listening and comprehension, current materials and topical subjects. I am an SQA assessor so can work on preparation formsitting exams and assessments at school or college.
I have an individual learning approach to tutoring. This means I tailor each lesson to the learner's individual needs and interests. I use a variety of resources to work on learning that is current and relevant to the individual and meets the standards required by SQA.
I am currently pursuing an MSc degree and will be giving lessons to BSc undergraduates and lower in the field of Biotechnology, covering subjects like Biology, Genetics, Molecular and Cell Biology, Physiology, among various others. My classes would be theoretical with easy to understand examples.
I base my teaching on skills building, so that they can sustain their own learning. I assess my students, and find where they could develop their skills, and assist them to build learning strategies that work for them. Skills that I would work to develop with older children include active reading, essay writing, exam technique, and self-assessment.
My teaching method is very individualised to the clients goals and desired outcomes. I am a very patient and understanding tutor, however I do expect students to complete homework tasks set so that we can stick to an agreed plan of action.
I am very interested in functional anatomy and anatomical variation so the physical side of the practice is fully catered to your individual needs. From a meditation stand point, I base my teachings around mindfulness and being able to take the lessons that we learn on our mats into our everyday lives.
I will introduce each topic using worksheets and textbook activities, but to allow my students to truly become familiar with each aspect of the language I will make my lessons as interactive as possible through activities such as role play conversations, games, and discussion of both written texts and film/TV episodes.
First I lay out the groundwork, then we work on applying this knowledge to real world situations and scenarios. For example, after a lesson on anatomy, I will give you a file of a patient suffering from a congenital illness. We will then go over what you think it is, and how/why you know. The goal is to give you a solid framework to understand the biological process.
For conversational classes, I will usually structure them so that my student speaks as long as possible. I will have a topic (something that interests them) which I will assign to the student to research and they will come to the lesson and talk about that topic. I offer debates and dialogues to allow the students to think on their feet.
Whether you need help planning and writing effective critical essays, help remembering quotes and knowing how to effectively use them, or help with your Close Reading paper, I'm the right person to help. My method is usually for me to read the texts which you are studying to ensure I understand them, and then pass on how I reached certain conclusions so that you can use the same methods.
I offer one to one learnind and teach an individual learning styles suitable to the individual. I use past papers for exam practice and will work on essay writing and exam techniques as well as assisting with other aspects of literacy such as comprehension, analysis, evaluation, grammar and spelling. I tailor my lessons to the individual's needs.
I approach each topic differently but to allow students understand better, I ensure they understand the 'basic' word concepts in maths. This is done through repeating explanations using other words. Students tend to know such terms off by heart, allowing attention and focus to be more on the maths problem to be solved.
Considering my experience with children, even those not speaking English or Danish proficiently, I am able to provide tailored, guided tutoring which stimulates the creative and critical thinking necessary to academia. I can proofread, give advice, and find resources for you.
I would base my lessons on what the student was finding the most difficult.
My teaching method is to see what the student needs help and how they work, I work from there to see what method would work best. Everyone learns in different ways and I hope to try my best to adapt my teaching style for each person.
