About Ruth

Learning languages has been my passion since childhood and I love to share it through teaching. I hold a BA (hons) in European Languages (French, Spanish & Italian) and a PGCE in Secondary Modern Foreign Languages. As a native English speaker, I know how to teach foreign languages effectively having gone through the whole process myself for many years! I understand why we struggle with certain structures and concepts, and I can show you the similarities and differences from English to help you unravel and master the French language.

About the lesson

I am a specialist MFL teacher with seven years' experience teaching French, Spanish, Italian and EAL to children of all ages, as well as adults. Classes can be flexible in length and approach according to your learning needs and whether you are learning for a qualification or for more personal reasons. I have a bank of resources ready to adapt to focus on grammar, writing, speaking, listening and/or reading.

Ruth es una super todo terreno. Tiene un increible dominio de la lengua española. Eso unido a su conocimiento del inglés la convierte en una tutora extraordinaria. Personalmente me ayudó, y me sigue ayudando a perfecionar mi grámatica en inglés, a través de la gramatica española. Totalmente recomendable!

Ruth is a super all-rounder. She has an incredible command of the Spanish language. That, together with her knowledge of her English, makes her an extraordinary tutor. She personally helped me, and she continues to help me perfect my English grammar, through Spanish grammar. Totally recommended!
