About Christopher

I am a hardworking father and teacher, and I truly believe that hard work gets you results in life. I want to help students who are keen to get stuck in to do the best they possibly can.

Every GCSE class I have taught has produced results higher than expected. One class of 29 students achieved 27 A* and 2 A in maths.

If you choose me as your tutor, you can be confident that you will progress at an impressive rate and will be able to achieve whatever your target may be.

About the lesson

My name is Chris, and I have been teaching and tutoring GCSE mathematics for 10 years now. After graduating with a First Class degree in mathematics, I jumped into teaching and tutoring the subject and it is still one of my passions.

I am calm, approachable and my students always look forward to our sessions. I believe that meeting the needs of the specific student is absolutely vital, and I use many techniques to do so. Regular retrieval of prior knowledge, gradually removing scaffolding and looking at problem solving with the newly developed skills are just a few.

I typically tutor secondary students, from years 7 to 11. I do however teach A level pure mathematics and would be happy to help those students too.

I only tutor face to face, and my lessons are typically an hour long.
