I taught a high school ASL Club for 4 years and at Gallaudet University for ELI students and late-deafened students who are learning to sign.
I’m a very kind patience person that want to become a teacher when I get my MA in Education.
We can discuss about Deaf Culture and their community, the accent of the sign language, and the difference between SEE and ASL and of course you’ll be learning how to sign with basic ABCs finger spelling then we can take up a notch to sign fluently. It is very easy to learn if you’re motivated person!
I’ve been doing this for 7 years total.
ASL Club was 20 students and at Gallaudet University was over 30 students.
They always say I’m a chill back person that really motivated students to fell in love with ASL! They are quick learner and pick up ASL in no time.
