I like to try and help wherever possible, and can be available to help over night, early mornings and late evenings as well. I take into account how you can handle and cope with certain things and always let you be in control of what you would like to do/learn.
I have over three years experience in the care industry, working with people who have Down syndrome, autism, ADHD, Aspergers and various other learning difficulties and disabilities. I can help you learn something specific, help you get out and about, be a companion and accompany you on various trips and holidays.
I am a very hard working person and certainly up for a challenge. Working in the public eye has allowed me to gain exceptional customer service and communication skills. I love interacting and helping people and feel that I try to bring this into everything I do. I am currently in my final year and Edinburgh Napier University studying Music which is a full-time course, but the beauty of music is that it is very flexible. I put lots of effort into everything I do and try to help others in any way that I can. I also volunteer at the University, mentoring students who are currently under-taking their own Duke of Edinburgh Award. This gives me organization skills, how to lead a group and take responsibility for various things. I like to put myself out there and do as much as I can into making other people happy. I believe that I am a very hard working person and would be a great asset to your company.

As a musician, a lot of my time is spent practicing and attending music groups. Playing in various groups has allowed me to develop my leadership and ensemble skills. This includes leading a section and finding out how to encourage and support the other players. Playing as part of an ensemble has helped me understand and develop working together with people in a group setting. I have undertaken all 3 Duke of Edinburgh awards and volunteering at a kid’s club and care home – all of which has helped me learn about myself, about other people and how I can talk and support these people in the different ways that they may need. On a personal level, I enjoy swimming, running and hill walking.
Eleanor is very kind, understanding and patient. She has helped me learn the trombone from the beginning and I have loved every minute of her lessons. 100% recommended.
Eleanor has a wonderful talent and to be able to share that with the world is incredible. We were in band together for years and she’s one of the most trustworthy and reliable people I’ve ever met. She is an excellent tutor and will continue to grow herself and her pupils. I definitely recommend Eleanor as a tutor.
