About Mina
I am a university student from Sweden, and I am fluent in both English and Swedish. I have experience with one-on-one online Swedish tutoring as well as teaching Swedish classes to teenagers in Brighton. I have taught complete beginners, as well as students with a broad knowledge of Swedish where the main focus was on grammar etc. Due to studying at an international high school and now studying at university in the UK I am fully fluent in English and can explain all tricky concepts in a comprehensible way!

I base my classes on my student's specific needs and knowledge. I believe that focusing on common expressions and slang is more useful than learning textbook phrases which are rarely ever used in real life. Therefore, my lessons focus on real-life scenarios and the goal is that my students should be able to sound like a local, as well as understand slang/specific pronunciations. For instance, one of my students has a Swedish boyfriend and celebrates Christmas with his family, so our first lessons covered Swedish culture and foods as well as basic sentences in order for her to be able to communicate with his family.

If the student has no prior knowledge of the language, I am willing to offer lessons for £15. In case the level is very advanced and the student wishes to review literature etc. the price may be increased.
