About Jay
A former teacher with 5+ years of experience. A proven track record of students' progress, with results showing development across all my taught subjects. I believe that learning is something that everyone can and should enjoy. As a teacher, I have always tried to develop my knowledge in as many areas as possible, from ancient Greek philosophy to quantum computing. I am an outgoing, sociable and active person with a good sense of humour, who enjoys a wide range of interests including cycling, wargaming, squash, hiking, music, cinema and video games.

A teacher from Exeter with 5 years' experience in both teaching and tutoring (QTS & PGCE). With a record of student progress across all taught subjects. Skilled at assessing the needs of students and modifying my teaching style and lesson plans to accommodate different learning needs. I have previously taught students with various additional learning needs, (as a dyslexic myself I understand some of the challenges these students face) and helped them achieve their greatest potential. My sessions normally last between 1 - 2 hours depending on the subject and topic, though always happy to fit around individual needs and timings. I have taught students from age 11 - 25 from KS2 - College / university level, though I specialise in GCSE & A-level.
