About Sai Uma Maheswari
I am a recent graduate with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science and a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience looking to tutor more during the extra time I have. I’ve always enjoyed teaching school/college work in many subjects that I'm confident in.
I’ve taken a myriad Science classes throughout high school and college and can tutor subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Math has always been my favorite subject, and my SAT Mathematics Level 2 score (750) and ACT score (35) make me confident that I will be able to tutor math at the high school and college levels. It was my affinity toward math that made me receive the Bill George Math Award and Scholarship, awarded to the high school senior with the highest score on the national mathematics AMC exam and the highest math GPA.The critical reasoning required for the math is something I've been able to fortify through many of my Engineering math classes in college.
I’ve look forward to working with students of varied skill sets and thinking about creative ways to explain difficult content. Having taught academic and music/dance classes before, I find it rewarding to be able to enhance students' skills and learning ability.

I initially want to assess how the student learns best, and figure out creative ways to explain content to them. Once we can identify strengths and weaknesses, we can use the strengths to address the weaker areas.
