About Maya
I have been tutoring K-12 students in mathematics, physics, and chemistry for the last four years. Over the last few years, my love for teaching students has grown immensely, and I take so much joy in working with students and helping them to understand STEM subjects in a different way. I am currently a sophomore in Aerospace Engineering at Purdue University, and have taken math, physics, and chemistry courses through the college level. One of the advantages of being a recent high-school graduate and still being in school is that I can relate to the students' way of learning and I am up to date on current teaching techniques and learning styles. I would love to tutor you!

I love working with new students. The very first thing I like to do is ask the student about what kinds of learning they prefer, whether that is practice problems, games, or simply going over their homework problems until they understand. If they don't know, I prefer to try out different methods to see what works best, because the teaching should be all about the student and how they like to learn. I have found that this provides the best results!
