I understand the current difficulties of English. Not knowing how to actually revise, struggling to make our own inferences and not knowing how to develop our own ideas. However my teaching takes a narrow and deep approach to literature allowing for a realgrasp of the literature. I achieved a grade 8 at GCSE level and A at A-level. English isn’t about memorising points it takes an interactive approach with a teacher who is able and willing to inspire creativity in students to be able to produce their own literary ideas and opinions. The typical length of a lesson is an hour using interactive techniques which builds on a usual leadership role allowing for student led education in order to direct the course of their teaching. This approach is most suitable for GCSE and A level students. My experience as both an English literature student and teacher allows me to understand how to study the subject.
