About Mike
I'm a former MLB draftee and played minor league Baseball for several years. I've been Coaching for over 40 years and ran a Baseball Academy for 7 years. I'm currently the President of the of Historic Hamtramck Stadium.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching the basic fundamentals of Baseball. There is no greater gratification than seeing a pupil or player execute the proper mechanics during a highly competitive game. Typically, you start to see their confidence level begin to increase. After that a player will desire to work even harder to reduce their weaknesses and sharpen their skills.
Essentially, I started teaching when I began my coaching career over 40 years ago. Coaching involves teaching; fundamentals, teamwork, sacrifice, sportsmanship and perseverance.
I’m a former pro baseball player. I’ve coached for over 35 years. I co-founded and managed the Woodbridge Baseball Academy for 7 years.

Asking a list of questions to find out their basic goals, commitment and knowledge. After that, I need to see physical skills to measure their mechanics and overall skill set.
During my first 15 years I Coached in California; recreation, travel and then JR. College. So I covered from the novice to the advance player. Since coming back home to Metro Detroit, I’ve coached and trained the entire gamut. From T-Baller to Pro Baseball athletes and everything in between.
In the past month, 3 players from our Academy committed to play College Baseball at the University of Michigan. All 3 entered our academy before the age of 9. Each player is ranked by Perfect Games in the top 3 in the state at their position in their graduating class and top 25 in the country.

Perfect! My family and I had a good working relationship With Coach Wilson. Coach Wilson was a firm but fair coach. He was a good coach that helped the players develop. He corrected mistakes and gave positive feedback. The kids did not feel pressured when mistakes were made they shook it off and got ready for the next play. He was a very good coach for our family. I am happy he helped develop my son.

Coach Wilson cared about the kids as if they were his own. He taught them from a place of love and respect and they returned it to him. He was very influential to my son and I appreciate him greatly.
Coach Wilson was an excellent coach. He took his time with each of the players. He was very knowledgeable when it came to baseball.
Coach Wilson is a talented and experienced baseball player and coach. He trained my son for over 2 years and improved his batting skills immensely. He went from the bottom of the line up to the top. We loved working with Coach Wilson and would highly recommend him.
Working with Coach Wilson was a blessing and a great opportunity. It was the start of the beginning for me,through the early camps,to the early practices,to the late games. He worked with me personally and crafted different parts of my game and I am thankful of him creating time to make me the player I am now.
