About Toko
I have a very open-minded approach. There are so many ways to learn! I try to draw on your learning strengths so that my tutoring can be as productive as possible.
I enjoy seeing a student get excited about solving a problem or learning a skill that they had been working on for a long time. That feeling of accomplishment and confidence is what I strive to instill in my students.
Throughout my high school years, I tutored many middle school and high school students. When I went to college, I helped tutor my younger teammates who were also pursuing a biology degree like me. Teaching and sharing knowledge is something that I enjoy doing because I believe a chance for a successful future is so important for everyone!
I graduated from Emory University in 2019 with a B.S. in Biology and a Minor in Japanese. I was a pitcher for the Emory softball team and was National Runner-Up my senior year. With my experience as a student-athlete at an elite university, I am experienced in finding a balance between school work and extracurricular activities.
Currently, I am working as a certified nursing assistant. I have just completed my hours and am now actively applying for graduate school to become a Physician Assistant.

When this whole COVID-19 pandemic started, I hired Toko to help keep my kids (age 7 and 11) on track with their schooling while I was busy working. She works super well with my kids and her rate is a great price! 10/10 recommend :) you will not be disappointed.

Details
My first lesson is only $20/hr (for all levels). This allows for us to know if we are a right fit for each other.
After that, I charge $25/hr for basic level tutoring like elementary and middle school level.
For high school and college level it is $35/hr.
