About Mark
Mark started his basketball career in 1984, playing in the NCAA at University of Central Arkansas. Following that, he joined the army and played on the All-Army team from 1985 to 1988. He went on to play professional basketball from 1990 to 1994 throughout Europe and Mexico. In 1992, Mark was chosen to lead a special team, the American Airlines All-stars, put together by the NBA and Hoopitup to facilitate and implement basketball clinics throughout Europe and Central America.
Mark has been involved in coaching basketball for more than 25 years all over the USA and internationally. Mark's first coaching opportunity presented itself back in 1989. He coached a variety of Division 1 College camps. In 1990, he became affiliated with PAL (Police Athletic League) and worked with them for five years.
Since 1993, Mark has had the good fortune of coaching for the following NBA Players Basketball camps: Donyell Marshall, Joe Smith, Adonal Foyle, Brian Shaw, Byron Scott and Antonio Davis. He has worked on the Golden State Warriors camps, Chicago Bulls camps and Pete Newell Big Man camps specializing in elite high school players, international players and professional players.
In 2011 Mark became part of the Five-Star Camps family. I also became NCAA certified for North America, US Basketball, Nike Sparq Certified. Most recently, Mark became a Certified Basketball Player Development Specialist through Impact Basketball Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mark is looking forward to sharing his experience, knowledge and passion for the game with both seasoned and up and coming talent throughout North America.
I have been building the best players in the world through a unique development system combining intense skill development, customized strength and speed training, innovative nutritional programs, and instilling the mentality to constantly improve and maximize potential.

Perfect! We are so glad we found Coach Mark. My son started classes with him about a year ago, and he loves learning from him. Coach Mark has a calm and supportive demeanor that makes my son feel comfortable, yet he is also very particular and detail-oriented in the best way, making sure the fundamentals are strong while steadily pushing him to improve.
The sessions always start on time, and Coach Mark is very flexible with scheduling and make-up classes, which we deeply appreciate. Our experience with Coach Mark has been wonderful. He has coached our two sons, now aged 8 and 13, for the past half year. In that time, both boys have improved. My 13 year old not only has been dribbling and shooting skills but has also gotten faster, stronger and can jump higher with Coach Mark’s training. Coach Mark keeps it fun for my younger son, and keeps him engaged - as a result, he can now dribble and shoot now as well. Coach Mark stays fully focused during lessons and seems to have a limitless number of different drills to keep it fresh and fun. Plus Coach Mark is a friendly and great guy who has a lot of basketball wisdom to impart. We couldn’t be happier with him as a coach.
