About Troy
As a former professional basketball player, I will provide top training to get your game to the next level! I have helped train both male and female athletes of all ages and skill levels (elementary to professioanl). I played professionaly for 10 years in Europe and have experience in the NBA. I am able to share my expertise and love for the game. As a coach, I find personal satisfaction in watching basketball players not only reach their goals but develop self confidence along the way.
I love to see an athlete's hard work and attention to detail payoff and enjoy watching my student's confidence grow. MY students should leave every practice and training session feeling more confident about their game!
I am a former professional basketball player. I participated in the NBA combine (New York Knicks) and spent 10 years overseas playing in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium and Latvia where I won MVP in the European All Star game.
Additionally, I've built conditioning and weight lifting programs for athletes of different abilities and fitness levels.

During our first session, I will conduct a basic assessment of fundamental skills (ball handling, shooting, court IQ) to get a better idea of your fitness/skill level. Once the assessment is complete, we will discuss short and long term goals and design an athletic program to achieve these goals. Throughout the process we will set milestones and work toward dealing with confidence on the court and developing a growth mindset.
I've coached athletes of all ages - from elementary to college, most recently spent time coaching two local middle school basketball teams (both male and female). I am comfortable working with entire teams, small groups, or individual athletes.
I would encourage my athletes to first consider their basketball goals and identify the key areas where they wish to improve. They should also consider what role they hope a coach to play in achieving those goals. Find a coach who won't let you quit, inspires you to work hard, and makes the game of basketball both fun and rewarding!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
First, athletes should ask themselves what the game of basketball means to them. Do they like the game, or do they love it? Are they playing for themselves or being pushed by someone else. Understanding what they hope to get out of training sessions is important and depends on the athletes attitude toward the game. Athletes should consider how hard they are truly willing to work to get to where they want to be. A strong work ethic is key to growth as a player.

I had the opportunity to work with coach Ostler for a whole season. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table that he has accumulated over many years of coaching and being a player. Coach Ostler is enthusiastic, confident, and provides a positive energy to his approach on coaching.
Coach Troy help to coach my team this season to 14-4 record! He worked with my girls on footwork fundamentals and dribbling, specifically and pulled players aside to work with them one. He pushed my girls to work hard but also had fun (ask him about Latvian knockout). I would definitely recommend him.

Details
My fixed hourly rate is $40 for individual sessions. Group rates are also available as well as monthly packages.
I can train both indoor and outdoors. I have access to a school gym located in the Summerlin/Centennial Hills area and can travel to you as well.
