About Ambrose
I believe I can motivate young ballplayers to gain the confidence and work ethic they need to achieve what they want to do in basketball. I teach fundamental basketball. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses in the game. I can identify them easily, and work on a game plan to get better.
I love basketball. I am 54, and can still play!--I have played all my life, and have taught others the fundamentals of the game, drills, and skills needed to play better and what practicing by yourself can look like, to get to where you want to go!
I have played basketball my entire life, and have been helping kids randomly on playgrounds around NYC, as I meet them just playing ball, for 15 years. I just love the game and its a nice little workout for me. Typically I see basic fundamentals are missing--and tried always to leave the kids with one good idea to practice, whether it was shooting, dribbling, defending, rebounding, footwork, etc.

I first evaluate an individuals basketball skills, coordination, and athleticism. We then start with the basics and advance based on age, skills, etc. Based on what I see, I teach drills and practice techniques and build from the bottom up.
