About Alma
I started boxing as a way of losing weight. When I first started I was 196lbs and my depression was an excuse for unhealthy eating. I was able to drop down to 140lbs, and then life happened. I got married, got pregnant and gained all my weight back plus more. I had 4 pregnancies, but unfortunately in 2015 we lost our 4th baby. The loss triggered anxiety and depression that at the moment I thought I'd never be able to overcome. Boxing saved my life! I started training not only to lose weight, but to make my dream of competing come true. I was 210lbs when I started again. I dropped to 150lbs and made my dream come true, I became an amateur boxer and in the process was able to deal with my anxiety and depression. I am a mother, a wife, work full time, amateur boxer and train at Relentless Boxing Gym. I know first hand how hard it is to meet your goals, it's hard, but not impossible.
