I teach MMA and all kind of self-defense without gi, such as boxing, wrestling etc. I focus my teaching in developing technique not power.
My teaching methodology is that of positive reinforcement and looking at your technique and changing one thing at a time. I learnt how to coach from my coaches Adam and Dave in judo. I also have high quality behaviour management.

1) Initial 30 min meeting – we talk about your goals, previous experience, injuries and life habits. I introduce myself as an athlete and a trainer 2) We create personal training plan according to our previous discussion 3) In the future sessions we follow the plan and adjust it when necessary.
I teach through practical lessons, getting student to copy my movements. I film practce to help Address technique and generation of power. I am a good motivator and am patient with students. I also do bag work and pad work to give better practice.

As noted already I like to base my classes on the needs and wishes of clients, making it as interactive as possible. It's NOT my way or the highway but OUR way! I'm the teacher, you're the student, but we are a TEAM! Lessons are pad-work based working on technique. That's what 1-2-1 tuition is basically about in my mind. My approach to teaching self defence is quite simple; everything on my syllabus has been pressure tested, and can be learned in less than fifteen minutes or it doesn't get taught. Everything should be simple to learn, and then we drill until it becomes second nature.
