About T’Kayhlia
Students are get tutoring from someone that has been there and gotten to medical school, but found a greater passion in helping others get there. I am offering tutoring in the biomedical related fields to help students understands the basics of the sciences allowing for their academic success. My background is in science tutoring throughout undergrad and teaching in the community college environment post graduation. I truly enjoy science education and making it relatable to the everyday student allowing for their success.
I started teaching when I was in high school helping peers understand concepts covered in class.
I have my bachelors degree from Wingate University where I spent majority of my four years acting as a peer tutor. In my final year of schooling I was able to move into the role of lead tutor where I trained tutors and looking to implement better ways of delivering curriculum.

I start with accessing the students need as well as their level of knowledge. I ask them questions to understand their issues then start working with them and their class notes to help make connections with the content. Students are more likely to remember something they relate to so I am always sure to provide relatable examples. I also try to implement games where needed to make the learning fun.
I have worked with college students mainly. I do have experience in the high school arena but not as much. I am looking forward to working more with the younger population.
