About Isabella
I am a chemistry tutor that always goves above and beyond to create a personalized and supportive tutoring experience.
I try to have as much fun with my students as possible, while also teaching the material in an effective and intutive way.
If you are looking for a tutor who genuinely cares, and is willing to go the extra mile to ensure your understanding, then I am the person for you! :)
I feel that chemistry is frequently portrayed as an inaccessable topic, and many students are scared off by it. I was once a scared confused student, but I persevered and gained an excellent understanding of the material. Thus, the thing I enjoy the most is making chemistry accessable and understandable to students of all backgrounds and learning types. I truly beleive that any student can master chemistry.
A bit of hardwork, dedication, and fun can mold chemistry from a terrifying tiger, into a cute kitten.
I began my career in tutoring after taking upper division chemistry courses in my undergraduate college. I absolutely love teaching students material, and try my hardest to incorperate intutive and fun learning techniques and methods.
I have a B.S. in biochemistry, and I am currently in a master's program for biochemistry. I also scored a top 12% score on the MCAT. (Medical College Admissions Test)
I have been tutoring for over 2 years at my undergraduate and graduate school.

I like to first get to know the student, as well as ask about their specific/preferred learning style. I then like to delve into the topic, making sure I leave plenty of time for questions.
I have worked with students ranging from High Schoolers to Juniors and Seniors in Undergraduate.
I also enjoy working with younger students.
I would look for a tutor that you can relate with, and that understands you. Some tutors may possess all the requirments, and are experts of their fields, but if you do not enjoy their personality, or teaching style, then it may be difficult to learn from them. Overall, learning subjects should be fun, engaging and the tutor you chose should be as supportive as possible.
For me, my favorite moment is when a student understands the material and experiences "The Click".
Their eyes light up and a smile blooms across their face as the material once difficult to them becomes palpable, tangiable, and most importantly, accessable.
My entire tutoring career revolves around this moment, and it warms my heart to see students begin to fall in love with the material I am so fond of.

I would consider what your learning style is. Do you learn best from audio? Do you perfer to write, or perhaps speak the material outloud? Do you learn best from doing practice problems? Or do you perfer to read the material at your own pace?
