About Katelyn
My name is Katelyn Raimond and I am a senior studying Cell and Molecular Biology on the Pre-Med track at the University of Rhode Island! I am also currently an intern at Rhode Island Hospital in the Division of Infectious Disease and I hope to one day become a doctor of internal medicine and pediatrics specializing in infectious disease! I am also extremely passionate about teaching biology and helping others grasp complex subjects! I am also a resident assistant at URI in Butterfield Hall. This position has made me extremely personable and like to think of myself as a patient and kind individual! I hope you choose me as your biology tutor and I can't wait to see where this position takes me!

I enjoy the work that I do because not only does it challenge me, it allows me to challenge others as well. I love getting to make a difference in the lives of others and being a small drop in the ocean to help another individual learn a complex subject such as Cellular Biology or Organic Chemistry is one of the most rewarding aspects of being a teacher!

My typical process for working with a new student is to evaluate their current knowledge on the specific topic of choice and then use that as a foundation to build upon! If there are any holes or cracks within the foundation, fixing them before learning new and complex subjects in order to have a complete and thourough understanding!
