About David
I taught for thirty one years in the public schools in Texas as a band director, including twenty one years in the Spring Branch Independent School District. The last 19 years, I was Director of Bands at Stratford High School. Currently retired from public education.
I have extensive professional performing experience with regional and national performers, including Barry White, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Frankie Avalon, Johnny Mathis, Steve Allen, Tommy Tune, Aretha Franklin and many others. I currently perform on clarinet and saxophone with the Energy Corridor Orchestra, and as a free lance musician in Houston and the surrounding areas. I also am an active adjudicator for solo and ensemble contests, as well as marching and concert contests in Texas. Since retiring from full time teachin in 2012, I have taught a number of private lessons, and do clinics in the schools.
I will be happy to work with students at all levels to help you improve your performance. I also work specifically with students who wish to improve their jazz improvisation.
I enjoy seeing students progress musically.

Details
