About Jay
Working with musicians is an amazing piece of art. I will teach whatever I can. And whatever is needed so clarinetist can be successful. I have been playing clarinet for just about 5 years now. And clarinet is my biggest passion.
I got started teaching, whenever someone in my freshman year was a beginner. And she wanted me to help her better learn the clarinet.
I have been in band class for almost 5 years now. I was in middle school band, I'm now in high school band.

Working with a new student, is to let them tell me their goals, and for me to help them. Depending on what their level is, I will teach them what they need to know.
I've worked with beginners. And I have worked with some fellow band friends who have about 4 years of practice.
I would tell them to ask me what they are interested in. I would ask them about what they want to achieve. And whether they want help with music, scales, rhythm or other. I'm here to teach.
A recent event, is performing at football games. That is playing the music, while marching the field. I am in wind symphony (the highest band) in high school.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
The questions students should think of, is their goals, how long they want to play this instrument for, and why they came into see me.
