About Mohamed
Hey, I'm Mohamed. I help students cut through the confusion in Computer Science, whether that's debugging code at midnight, finally understanding recursion, or wrapping your head around how neural networks actually learn instead of just memorizing the math. Outside of teaching, I build side projects, explore new tools, and occasionally spend way too long debugging something that should have taken five minutes.
I've taught over 1,400 hours of CS, working with students from high schoolers in AP Computer Science all the way to graduate students tackling research projects. Along the way I've helped people build GUI applications, fix memory bugs in C++, work through operating systems and cybersecurity coursework, set up development environments from scratch, and prepare for technical interviews.
I hold a Master's in CS with a 4.0 GPA, have two first-author research publications, and I'm currently a PhD student at Virginia Tech where I also teach as a Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Most students come to me feeling stuck or behind. Within a few sessions they start seeing things differently. I adjust to your level and your pace, and I don't move on until you actually get it.
