About Logan
I got my start in high school as a mathematics tutor for the school and then continued as a private independent tutor throughout college.
I have a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science with a focus in Mathematics from Miami University and have worked as a professional software developer for two years.

I like to start with a clear goal, big or small. For example: "I want to be able to make video games" (Massive goal), "I want to feel ready for my calculus final exam" (Medium goal), or "I want to understand what a limit really is and why we use them" (Small goal). Then that goal gets broken down into smaller goals as necessary so that it's more manageable and there is a sense of progression along the way.
It's always going to be the things you can't see on a teacher's profile that make them stand out. So, the best advice is to not be afraid to drop a tutor who is not able to adapt to how you need to learn.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should be honest with themselves about what they want out of a tutor. They should also take note of the goals of anyone else who may have a stake in their learning (Most often parents)
